Caleb Calloway - Desolat
Rooted from the tropical sounds of his native country Puerto Rico and the melting pot of sound he encountered in Chicago, Texas, and New York there is no other way to describe Caleb Calloway’s music but as diverse. From his production to his DJ sets Calloway has been able to give the crowd exactly what they want while keeping his deeply ingrained musical influences present.
With a powerful collection of new music, recent collaborations with Loco Dice and Desolat, we're extremely excited to welcome this rising star to the stage.
Alex Celler
Alexandros Berdos mostly know as Alex Celler was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. Now Thessaloniki might not be the first place that comes to mind when speaking about electronic music, but during the late 90's and 00's names like Juan Atkins, Sven Vath, Jeff Mills, and Ricardo Villalobos visited the city regularly inspiring a whole new generation with the sounds of house & techno. Soon enough, Alex decided to move to London in 2004 where he quickly got involved in the scene collecting records, djing regularly and producing music.
Few years later in 2009, his strong releases in Tuning Spork, All Inn Records and Freak n Chic and Cecille (along with good friend Anthea) helped him establish himself as one of the promising upcoming names of his generation. This strong line of productions & remixes got him spinning regularly in London's very own Fabric as well as Ibiza's Underground, Amnesia and DC10, Trouw (Amsterdam) , ARMA17 (Moscow) and Watergate (Berlin) to name just a few. With a busy tour schedule ahead, the future looks promising.
Alex’s distinctive DJ style hints towards an obsessive attitude to crate digging – playing out an impressive blend of rare, old and modern tracks. His sound comes deep yet energetic, with strong basslines and loose rhythms keeping the emphasis on the groove and he fits in just perfectly within the Apt: roster.
Lorenzo Chiabotti
Originally hailing from Turin, Italy, Lorenzo Chiabotti began his love affair with music at a very young age. First playing the drums and then studying music at the Music School of Art, where he began to learn many different elements of music. It was during this time that he began to study step sequencing and midi programs that really took him to the next level of his passion for electronic music..
Lorenzo’s sound can be described as funk driven Techno that is reshuffled with House and adds just a bit of darkness that keeps it all tightly woven together in a forward thinking manner. When he isn’t in the studio you can catch him behind the decks throughout Berlin and the world, playing in places such as Doctor Sax, The Zoo Project, Club Der Visionäre, and Arena.
Vinyl Speed Adjust
Their faultless back catalog boasts a dominance of vinyl releases on the likes of Visionquest, Pressure Traxx & Jesus Loved You, garnering support from genii including Ricardo Villalobos, [a:rpia:r], Barac, Luciano & Valentino Kanzyani, to name but a few.
As demonstrated by their choice of pseudonym, the pair are vinyl aficionados, with both of their labels pushing out nothing short of sheer quality underground wax. Their Crystal Structures imprint focuses more on old school caliber artists, with releases to date featuring the likes of Mark Ambrose, Aubrey, Thor, Exos, C- Rock/ Dubstar and Anonym.
Their second imprint, self-titled as VSA Records, debuted in late 2015, and promises to curate an eclectic schedule of releases, both from the boys themselves, alongside a medley of new era artists, each showcasing their respective imaginative sound.
Through their consummate work ethic and refreshing productions, the duo has unsurprisingly caught the ear of some of the industry’s leading and most illustrious figures, and with every one of their releases fast becoming a commodity for some of the finest A&R tastemakers on the circuit, Vinyl Speed Adjust are unquestionably two of Romania's most inventive and promising talents.
