London based duo Wax On Mare St. James Puentes & MIINA met in 2015, which subsequently led to them joining together to form what is the duo known as Wax On Mare St. Through their London based studio in Netil House (Hackney), the boys have quietly been crafting their skills alongside their ears, into understanding the world of music production.
Even though it’s early days for them. They’ve already managed to see their music attract interest from various labels such as…Blind Vision Records , Roush, Sanity, ASONELDN, Arupa & most recently E1even Records. Their music featured in numerous charts across a digital platform. While their only vinyl release to date was released in shape of a remix on Admnti’s EUPHORBIA- EP (AL002).The track titled ‘High Rise’ done really well across numerous platforms, selling out at Phonica Records, Juno & Deejay.de too name a few. Which was without doubt a nice surprise. Along the way they’ve also seen their music supported across dance floors & ears by friends & respected DJ’s across the scene…which in their words, ’is always humbling & satisfying to hear’.
Future releases on Alex Arnout’s (Dogmatik) imprint is something we can all still look forward too, with a second vinyl release on Blind Vision also scheduled towards the end of the year. That being said, the boys also hope to launch their own subsequent label in the near future. Keeping the emphasis on (Vinyl Only) to begin with.
Whilst keeping busy with all things music, they have also secured a monthly slot on Netil Radio, which makes total sense seeing that they seem to spend any opportunity at Netil House in their studio!. Why not also host their own show inviting an array of guest’s down to share the decks with. You can catch them broadcasting live & direct across the airwaves from Netil Market each & every second Tuesday of the month, from 9pm - 11pm for the foreseeable future. The show consists of everything we would expect from Wax On Mare St.! Good times coupled along with good music, friends & a laugh or two.
They can also add a number of events & dance floors to there growing portfolio. 2017 saw them debut at Eastern Electrics, which they had the pleasure of returning too this summer. Joining the main stage alongside artists such as Jamie Jones, Eric Morrilo & more. Dance floors such as Fabric’s infamous Room 1 for WetYourSelf! are one of a few self satisfying moments that without doubt will keep the smiles truly across all three of their faces. London may well be the core from which Wax On Mare St. was built, but as things stand this is only the beginning for the trio and with no signs of slowing up anytime soon, it sounds like we can look forward too hearing them delivering there charismatic sound for many years to come. Wherever it may be. It’s also safe to say that although the three of them all have their own individual ways & influences, it seems that they totally get each other on & off the decks. Their ears stay in sync & so do they.
Their aim in life is simple, to enjoy what they do as well as continuing too follow their passion & satisfy ears around the world!
